Founded in 1982 (the year that the CD was first brought into circulation and when Michael Jacksons’ Thriller was released), Palace Court Football Club have one of the best, if not the best, facilities in the Blackmore Vale league. With a new clubhouse, clean showers that work (trust me that is something of a rarity in the league) and with Mrs L at the helm, offering half time tea, Palace Court are never short of match requests.
Although this is the official website (there isn’t actually an unofficial one, but you know what I mean.) don’t expect any of the content to be worthy of the Pulitzer prize. I could do my best to create a formal site, but as it is completely against my principle of free speech I won’t even try.
Although the News and Match Report sections will contain large elements of fact I will issue cheap-shots when appropriate, put-downs when neccesary and literary digs at anyone who I think has deserved it. Naturally I will not be subjecting myself to that kind of abuse as that would be slightly masochistic (I prefer to remain anonymous, but I’m sure by reading my match reports you will notice an absence of ridicule against a certain player)
I have considered a blog for the site as well…….but I fear I may be lynched if I was to write down my thoughts so that is one for the future. If you do want a blog (or even wish to enter one of your own), I may bow to peer pressure. This is of course dependent on the number of requests and the value of any bribes
We are currently sponsored by Paul Chapman Plumbing and Sydenhams Builders Merchants who have supplied both the First team and Reserves team-strips respectively. We also have close links with our local pub, The Crown at Marnhull, who supply us with post match food to re-fuel us after our Sunday morning exertions.
